and for those of you who are missing the narratives, heres a little something for you.  the past few months have been
great.  lucile is smiling and cooing now, she has fit into our little family pretty seamlessly.  the boys are doing
absolutely wonderful.  maddox is turning into a little boy and there are only traces of baby left in him.  words are
coming more and more and its a joy to watch him develop his likes and dislikes.  he is very into trains right now and
carries them around the living room exclaiming 'choo-choo'.  he is also cutting two molars and is very, very slimy
about the face.  that coupled with the scratches he gets from the cat makes for a pretty macked up face.  marleys
main thing right now is writing.  he is constantly writing us notes when he is excited or mad and he must
have written
fifteen different notes to santa, two of which he mailed (one was a list and the other a christmas card).  he is still a
very sweet boy and when we went to see santa he insisted on bringing santa a candy cane from our christmas tree
as well as a snowglobe he had made for rudolph.  at times he is not-so-sweet and we are working on those times.

in other news, my dad has been with us for about two weeks and its been wonderful to have this time with him.  for
those of you who dont know, he has just moved onto his boat and is headed for the blue waters of the caribbean. we
arent too sure of how much we will get to see him in the future, but we are enjoying the time we have now.

christmas was beyond words.  with marley getting much older now it is so easy to get swept up in the magic of the
season.  i found myself more excited than he was at times waiting for christmas morning.  and he didnt disappoint us,
that morning marley was running around shouting and laughing with maddox.  the two of them were quite a sight!
is it a bird?  a plane?
no, its a dinosaur sneaking
about in the bamboo!
