in early september we headed down to monterey to spend labor day weekend with ian, liz, and noah.    as luck would have it, they had just added a great white shark to the monterey bay aquarium the night before we got there...what a surprise to get to the aquarium and discover that we would get to see another great white shark!  marley, maddox, and noah LOVED the aquarium and the adults had fun as well.  we also rented a surrey that fit all seven of us and had a blast pedaling up and down the pacific coast trail. it was great to spend time with ian, liz, and noah and they announced that they are expecting another baby -- now marley and maddox will have two cousins!

september and october seemed to pass by in a blur.  i was approaching the end of my pregnancy and we were all keeping very busy.  we did manage to spend some time just hanging out while it was still just the four of us.  the blue angels also came our way and we headed to the berkeley marina to watch them.  marley was pretty excited to see them flying so close together and maddox had fun running up and down the hill.  it was a nice day and we all enjoyed the afternoon at the park.

my mom came out on october 10th to be here for the arrival of the baby and we had lots of time to hang out and enjoy having her here.  we did head out to the pumpkin farm we go to every year.  the kids had so much fun picking out their pumpkins and they also got to go on a train ride, through a hay maze, and play in a big trough full of beans.   in those pictures i am about as pregnant as one can get.  it was a lot of fun and we ended up with loads of pumpkins for carving, cooking, and decorating!
