these pics are from the bay area discovery
museum, another one of the toddler hot
spots.  dressing up like a ladybug and
doing a little painting...can the day get any
better???  
then we got invited to lake tahoe for my
birthday weekend!! what a WONDERFUL
treat (thanks kelly and jay). we all got to
play in the snow, marley really dug
sledding.  he even went down by himself
a couple times!  we went up with two
other families (five kids in all)  and all the
kids really had a good time.  so did the
grown ups.  the guys went skiing on
saturday...and it was a perfect day for it!
fresh snow and blue sky.  the  girls got to
go out saturday nite to do a little
gambling and get ourselves a little break
from diapers and sippys and the millionth
rendition of goodnite moon. although we
lost most of our money, it was fun to have
a couple drinks and make fun of the
AWFUL band that was playing outside the
bar! ;)  mostly it was such a treat to relax
in front of the fire and look out the huge
windows to the lake.  i took the two pics
at the bottom of the page from right
outside the back door of the house at
about seven in the morning.


january was an eventful month!  marley got
his very first haircut and on the same day
chipped one of his front teeth which resulted
in his very first dentist appointment.  he
loves to paint, you can see him working away
at mocha (museum of childrens art) here in
oakland.  its a great place to go when it
rains.  another one of the things he loves to
do right now is ride the steam trains up in
tilden park.  he just learned about owls and
runs around going, 'owl.  hoo hoo.'  and he
still LOVES balloons!
